A Weekend of Scrapping.

I had lots of fun this weekend participating in the online crop at Kindred Creations and in the anniversary celebration at Willow Traders. I even got a challenge done for ASB. In total I got 4 paper layouts done and 1 digi. Not a lot for some people, but way more than I have been doing the last few months. Here are a couple of my favourites.

A Free Digi Kit at Creative Dreams

I love this digi kit by Anne Schlegel from Creative Dreams. And she is giving it away free to celebrate finishing her new homepage. Be sure to check out her blog because she has a few other freebies on there too.

I Forgot To Mention...

I won!

I won this gorgeous kit from Scrapbook Obsessions last week when they had their day hosting Willow Traders 3rd year Anniversary. There are still 5 days left of the celebration and today the hosts are Picture It Made.

Great Kits From A Shade of Blue!

I just want to share the layouts I made this month with the newest kits form A Shade of Blue. I love the colour combo in the American Made kit and the Vintage Blush kit is so incredibly pretty! The kits are 50% off for the month of April.

Fundraising Crop In Nova Scotia

My sister Amber told me about a crop taking place on May 3rd in nearby Middleton. The Paper Arts A Thon is a 20 hour crop to raise money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Instead of paying a registration fee the participants are collecting pledges for the CBCF. I'm hoping to participate, but they were nearly full when Amber talked to them and I'm not sure if I got my registration in on time. I hope so, it is a wonderful way to raise money for a good cause.

Songbird Avenue - Digital Kits with a Difference

Songbird Avenue offers a new digital kit every month and 100% of the profits go to a different charity each month. This month's kit 'Fresh Outlook' is in support of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Scrapbooking Fanatics Special- Children's Hospital Kit

What a great idea! Scrapbooking Fanatics has a special Children's Hospital kit. Each kit purchased will be donated to the Children's Hospital in Edmonton. The price of the kit is $29.95 cdn and includes "papers, a trimmer and adhesive, decal edged scissors, journalling pen, an album, stickers, die cuts and more". I can just imagine how much a child in the hospital for a long term stay would appreciate receiving such a gift. Wouldn't it be wonderful if every children's hospital in Canada had a kit club or LSS supporting them!

So Quiet.

There have been some great sketches posted in the challenges on Willow Traders this month, but my favourite is this sketch by Alicia Barry. I didn't get my layout done in time for the challenge, so I thought I would post it here.

Willow Traders

Willow Traders is a wonderful online resource for anyone interested in scrapbook kits. They have a fantastic gallery and their forum is one of the best on the web. The members are friendly, helpful and just plain nice. This month Willow Traders is celebrating their 3rd anniversary in a big way. Each day of March a different kit club will be in charge of the celebration and there are challenges, games and prizes galore all month long. The host for March 1st was Bring Your Own Memories and today it's Scrapbook Lovers Dream. You do need to join Willow Traders to participate in their forum, but trust me you won't regret it.

Prima Hybrid

I love Prima's new site! It is so exciting to see a major manufacturer embrace the digital side of scrapbooking. And the digital kits they have available are just amazing. One of the best is the 'RAD' collection. If you are looking for the perfect boy kit, this is it! It is actually comprised of 7 smaller kits and you can buy the complete kit or just one segment. I used the 'Refresh' segment to do this layout.
